About Courses offered by COB&GSB
-
COB/GSB exchange students are welcome to take any courses on the Course List. However, some courses may have a limited number of seats available.
-
It might be a good idea to filter "Language" to English first on the course list, unless you are looking into the courses instructed in Japanese (JLPT N1 required).
-
Course Code with "BT" is undergraduate level courses offered by COB.
-
Course Code with "KN" or "KT" is graduate level courses oggered by GSB.
-
Undergraduate level students who have completed introductory level courses in Management/Strategy, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, and Organizational Studies/HRM at their home university and two other electives in business, economics, or quantitative methods are qualified to enroll in MIB Graduate level courses. Note, instructors expect students to prepare for and participate in class as responsible graduate students. If you are not sure whether you are qualified or not, contact the COB Office at cobincoming@rikkyo.ac.jp.
-
Students may register for a maximum of 20 credits per semester. Students who wish to register for more than 20 credits per semester must consult with their academic advisor at RU.
Early Returnee for the Fall semester
-
If classes or course registration deadlines for the upcoming (new) semester resume at your home institution before the final class at Rikkyo in January, students can make special arrangements to leave Rikkyo after their final classes in December.
-
Applies only to students on the college-to-college based exchange agreement enrolled in courses during the Fall semester.
-
The courses allowing Early Return are listed below and Japanese language courses (all levels). NO OTHER COURSE APPLIES TO THE ARRANGEMENT. If you plan to leave in December, you should enroll for the courses that allow Early Return.
-
We kindly ask students to refrain from making special requests for other courses. Early Return arrangement is in place to prevent complications for your next year of study and to discourage students from arranging Early Return without a pressing academic concern.
-
It is the responsibility of the student to speack with instructors to check for assessed grade penalty and/or requirements such as additional assignments during the first week of classes.
Limited courses
-
When the course is listed as "limited" on the Course List, the space in these courses is limited.
-
If there are more applicants than the maximum, students will be selected as fairly as possible.

It is highly recommended to have alternative course options.
